NetSuite Bill of Lading Bundle ID 312584 is configured to set the Freight Class (FAK CLASS) and NMFC NO. for each item fulfillment line manually. This can be time-consuming and introduce the possibility of errors.
A better solution is to replace the line level bundle fields with custom fields that are sourced from the item record. This will allow the Freight Class and NMFC NO. to be auto-populated, saving time and reducing errors.
To do this, you will need to create two custom fields on the item record:
Freight Class
NMFC NO.
Once you have created these fields, you can create two new custom transaction line level fields:
Freight Class (sourced from the item record Freight Class field)
NMFC NO. (sourced from the item record NMFC NO. field)
You can then hide the stock bundle line level fields and update your forms to include the new custom sourced fields.
In most cases this customization will save you time and reduce errors when creating bill of lading documents in NetSuite.
